Staycations are the new reality for many families this summer. But you don’t have to sacrifice the quality of the activities due to financial restrictions. With a little forethought and creativity you can have some great fun with your family for free/almost free. Here is what our family did this weekend:
Saturday: Family Night
- Dinner from Donatos Pizza- FREE ($15 Pizza cash from Huggies Enjoy the Ride
- Columbus Crew Pro Soccer Game: 5 FREE tix (1 from oldest soccer team, 4 from Kroger Dairy Rewards Catalina)
Sunday: DH Birthday Celebration (babysitting courtesy of Grandparents)
- 2 AMC Movie Tickets: FREE (Used $7.50 discounted ticket coupon from Entertainment book and AMC gift card purchased with $25 Walgreens credit check from transferring a perscription).
- Dinner for Two at P.F. Changs: $40 (after using Warrior Card 10% off card (So we had planned on going to Outback, which would have been FREE thanks to MyPoints. But DH changed his mind, and it was his b-day after all.
I feel so victorious when I save my family money and we still have a blast! How about you? What kind of activities do you do with your family for free/almost free? Where is your favorite place to eat out for pennies?
