I posted earlier regarding the blood drive that was going on in a Central Ohio suburb. It was advertised that for every person who gives blood, s/he will get a $10 gift card to a local pub. Little did we know it got even better. Here is what my husband raked in for 30 minutes of his time.
One take and bake pizza from Papa Murphy’s, one burrito bowl from Chipotle, 2 free Jersey Mike subs, one $10 gift card from the Rusty Bucket and a medical pack from the American Red Cross. All for doing something good. Check the American Red Cross for blood drives in your area. Often there are fun “kick-backs” like the goodies above but if not, you’ve saved a life. So get out there and give blood!
*Note: I personally am unable to give blood so whenever I want to give to my community I send my husband in my stead. That works, right?

I am so jealous I donate on a regular basis and never get anything. Other than the satisfaction of saving lives I guess.
