I (Mary) was recently given the chance to try out a product new to me, Scentsy. Scentsy began with a simple idea—a safe, wickless alternative to scented candles—and quickly grew into one of the most successful direct selling companies. This wickless concept was born when two stay-at-home moms (we can relate!) began selling decorative warmers designed to melt scented wax with the heat of a light bulb instead of a traditional wick and flame.

I was given a full-sized warmer and top-selling scent Welcome Home. Our rep, Melanie, suggested I start by putting two sections of the bar in the top of the warmer. Ok, but I am cheap and wanted to make my bar last longer- so I just used one. The minute my husband walked in the door from work he asked what smelled so good. The scent definitely filled the whole downstairs and gave such a cozy feeling (cinnamon and spice- perfect for this time of year!). I would say that by my third time burning the wax, the scent was not as strong so I just added another cube at that point. With young curious children in the house, I love the flameless option. I would say the warmer got warmer than I expected. But I guess it does have to melt the wax right! And I loved the nightlight-ish glow that comes from the blub.I think these would make a great gift for teachers, mother-in-law or a house-warming (pun intended). Overall I was impressed with this product and am grateful I was given the opportunity to try it out.
