You may find this hard to believe, but I (Mary) have never stepped foot in a store on Black Friday. Both Kristy and I are not big fans of the drama surrounding Black Friday deals. We personally prefer to stay in our PJs (so to speak) and order some of these great deals online (and get the cash back for them too). But we realize that Black Friday sales can be amazing and can help to stretch your giving budget during the holidays. So have no fear, we will be posting some of the best Black Friday deals out there. We have added a link in our navigation bar called "Black Friday 2011" that is where you will find our current Black Friday and Cyber Monday posts. Please note, we will not be able to cover all the stores but will do our best. You can also visit AFullCup to see all the Black Friday ads.
One thing that bargain hunters often struggle with is, did I get the absolute rock bottom price? And Black Friday's frenzy can play into this stress. I would just encourage you to let it go! (speaking to myself too). Sure you may be able to get a better deal, but what is the time and cost to your family? (again speaking to the choir here). Let's try to keep everything in perspective this holiday season.
What are your thoughts on Black Friday? Did you know many stores will be opening their doors on Thursday night this year? Will you be in line? Do you have Black Friday traditions and/or tips? We always love to hear your perspective, so leave a comment/reply!

My tip: go to Florida for black Friday. It was way more pleasant to wait in line at 4 am in my flip flops. Too bad this year I will be in OH. *sigh*

I usually go out on Friday, but not 1st thing in the morning. I attempted to go to Toysrus last year on Thurs night and it was impossible to find a parking spot. Plus the line wrapped all the way around to the back of the store and it was pouring down rain. There was also a limit to how many people were allowed in the store so it would have taken hours just to get inside. It wasn’t worth it to me and I left.

We go out every Black Friday…it’s a family tradition with my Mom, my brother and my two daughters. We scan the ads, plan our attack and go shopping! Of course, you HAVE to expect long lines and stock up on Starbucks gift cards for those early morning hot chocolate runs! LOL You can go right now to bradsdeals.com and click on their Black Friday link and see most of the upcoming Black Friday sale ads. Now that I’ve said all that…I wasn’t too impressed with the upcoming sales at any of the stores for this year. With the current coupons, you can get the same prices now without all the long lines. Of course, that won’t stop me….there’s always a bargain to be found!

Heather- ToysRUs said that their Black Friday deals (including Door Busters) will be available online this year. That is how I plan to snag the deals- no rain or line.
Karen- Sounds like BF is more about spending time with “the girls”, finding a deal or two is icing on the cake! I do love to hear the “traditions” involved for some people. And I would also agree, sales aren’t that amazing- a few things here and there. So have fun on Friday and make some great memories (and don’t forget McD’s has their small McCafe’s for just $1!)
