Did anyone else notice the small announcement at the top corner of the SmartSource insert today? It is advertising a new coupon app for iPad from SmartSource. I did some looking and here is what I found out. It is basically an eCoupon site for SmartSource coupons. Read their description:
With the SmartSource Xpress iPad App you can get Sunday insert savings without the paper when you use this new direct-to-shopper-card coupon app from SmartSource. Just register your shopper cards and start tapping as you page through the savings. The discounts you have chosen are applied automatically when you use your card to check out at some of the biggest grocery-store chains in the country.
Features:
- View multiple magazines with coupon offers
- Clip coupons directly to your shopper card
- Instantly view your savings and redemptions
- Sign up for sample offers and product demos
- Register your shopper cards
Sounds pretty good (especially for those who do not get the Sunday paper). However, at this time their list of participating retailers is short. You can see them all here; Giant Eagle, Shop Rite and Marsh seemed to be the main ones. It will be interesting to see if they will offer the exact same coupons that are in the inserts each week, or just the ones they offer on the SmartSource printable page but in eCoupon form. Definitely one to check out when it goes live. The insert today said 3/11/12, but you can also sign-up your email to be notified when it is available to download from iTunes.
