TOO MUCH CANDY!

So all the Trick or Treating is now done, and you are left with hundreds of pieces of candy in your house. I am already trying to find ways to get rid of it all!  Here are a couple ideas:

*Sneak some pieces out and save them for Christmas stockings. You know most of those sugary treats have a looong shelf life.  Your kids won't know any different on Christmas morning.  And "Santa" will appreciate the savings.

*Introduce your kids to the "Switch Witch".  My neighbor told me about this one. After a few days of devouring the loot, the Switch Witch comes and takes the remaining candy away and leaves a toy in it's place.  Kristy and I don't really like the "witch" part.  So we would love to hear if you have a creative alternative name for this great idea.

*Sell your candy to a dentist!  The Halloween Candy Buy Back Program is sponsored by participating dentists.  They will buy your kids candy at $1 a lb and then send the candy to deployed troops. Check out their web site to see if there are participating dentists in your area.

*Donate yor goodies to your local Ronald McDonald House.  I contacted the RMH in Columbus and they are no longer accepting donations.  But please contact the House in your area to see if they are still in need of donations

Do you have any ideas for getting rid of the sweets?  Please leave us a comment, we would love to hear them!
