My Chef Boyardee House Party and Current Party Applications

If you haven’t checked out House Party yet, I highly recommend you do. A House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as a Kraft brand) and focuses on something new/interesting that the sponsor wants you to experience firsthand and share with your friends. Basically a House Party lets you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I recently hosted a Chef Boyardee ”Be the Chef” party. In an effort to show Chef Boyardee’s ”versatility”, we were to make a casserole to share with our guests using Chef Boyardee as an ingredient. I chose to make Lasagna Pepperoni Bake. And honestly it was not a hit. There were 10 kids 9 and under at the party and only my twins (4 yrs old) liked it a little bit. And none of the adults liked it. The general consensus was that Chef Boyardee is great for a quick lunch for the kids, but no one wanted to cook a meal with it. In fact when I offered the coupons from the party pack, everyone passed and just asked me to donate the cans (which I will do to our local food pantry). I cannot say that I am surprised by the outcome, but just had to honest about it. What do you think? Would you make a meal using Chef Boyardee as an ingredient?
