MommyParties is a Word of Mouth (or Word of Mom!) company that gives you products to try out with your friends during informal "mommy parties". I recently got to share* the yummy goodness of Nutella with the wonderful women of the MOMS group at my church. Before our monthly meetings we always have a light brunch, so this was the perfect opportunity. Most of the Moms had heard about Nutella before and about half of them had tried it. One of the items I served was Banana Bread. What a great combo, banana bread and chocolate! But it was just as tasty on the bagels too. As we discussed Nutella, I have to admit most of the conversation was about the ingredient list. No doubt that Nutella is super tasty, but many Moms felt it wasn't as nutritious as the brand would like to advertise. One Mom even pointed out that the first ingredient was sugar. Also several Moms commented on the cost- a little too pricey for their budget (although the coupons were helpful). So most of us agreed that Nutella is more of a "special occasion" or "treat" for our kids (and us!). No one was ready to replace it for good old peanut butter!

*A side note concerning Nutella: I (Kristy) use Nutella as my chocolate fix. When I get a hankering (I love that word) for chocolate I'll take a spoonful of Nutella instead. It usually does it for me...unless there are Girl Scout thin mints in the house! =)
