My Giant Eagle Trip!

We rarely post Giant Eagle Deals here at 4our2cents. It's not because there aren't great deals to be had. Mary and I prefer to limit our store trips. I find that if I visit too many stores in a given week I end up spending more. My intention is to head into a store to find the "loss leaders" (items that are on major sale for the week) but I then find a few other things that I might have forgotten on my major store trip earlier in the week.  I then spend more than I intended and I defeat the purpose, if that makes sense.
Once in a while there is a deal too good to pass up and for future reference, Giant Eagle cereal deals are worth the extra trip.  Here's what I got today for $9!

That's my daughter, and yes, she thinks it is perfectly normal to take pictures with your groceries.  The cereal deal is for General Mills and these boxes are 17.2 ounces (not the super thin 8 oz ones).  They ring up at $2 each if you buy four.  I had coupons for $1 off when you buy 2 so I got the cereal for $1.50 per box. The eggs were .99 each, usually not worth bragging about but I haven't seen eggs for under a dollar in 3 months.  We eat eggs like they are going out of style around here so a I'm thrilled to get them for under a buck!  This deal can be made even better if you happen to have General Mills coupons that aren't expired.  I had to throw at least 20 of them out before I bought my cereal today.  Boo!
