Coupon Conscience

This week's Finish deal at CVS has me thinking about couponing etiquette. With such a great high value coupon, Finish Dish Detergent is a hot commodity right now. Last week both Kristy and I had a hard time finding Finish at Walgreens. (I found one and she went to 2 stores without any luck) This week, I have a feeling it will be just as hard. The best deal entails purchasing 7 boxes. So here is the question: Is it appropriate/fair/just/right to clear the shelves in order to get the deal? The last couple of weeks there has been quite a bit of talk about the TLC show called "Extreme Couponing". One of the big complaints about these couponers is the amount of product they purchased in each trip. Buying 20+ items and clearing the shelf is selfish, in my opinion. Is there any concern for your fellow frugalista wanting to save for her family? Not to mention giving the art of couponing a bad rap! So 7 boxes might clear the shelf, but is that ok? And what if you wanted to do the deal twice and get 14? I know the crummy feeling of being excited to get a great deal and then finding the shelf empty. Who knew there was such a thing as coupon ethics. Is there a way to snag the deal for yourself while preserving it for your fellow deal diva as well? What are your "2cents"? We would love to hear your thoughts on this subject! Comment here or on the 4our2cents Facebook page.

The Foundary: Box Creation Playhouses as Low as $5.95 Shipped

This Christmas I noticed that a hot gift for kids were cardboard playhouses that you can decorate yourself.  Today, The Foundary has several of these Box Creations on sale for $22.  And shipping is only $5.95!  To make things even better, maybe you still have a credit (from a few months ago, no longer available).  If so, then you would only pay the shipping!  $5.95 sounds like a great price to beat some winter cabin fever!

So Tempting...Wii Fit!

Now that we've taken the Wii plunge (with no regrets, might I add) I'm now looking for some toys to add to it for myself.  You know, nothing wrong with a little Mario Brothers but there are so many fun things to do on the Wii.  Look what Coupons and Freebies Mom found on Amazon!
Wii Fit Plus for $79.96 and free shipping!  Don't forget to use those Swag Bucks (if you have any left!!!  I spent all mine!) to make this one an even better deal!

Nomorerack: 8 Deals, 1 Day.

A few weeks ago we told you about a new daily deal site called Nomorerack.  Each day they offer 8 new deals.  These items can be anything from purses, to jewelry to toys and housewares.  The sale starts each day at Noon EST and when they are gone- they're gone!  Like most of these sites, nomorerack offers a referral program too.  The first five people who register under your referral get a $10 off $20 credit.  And everyone who buys under your referral will earn you a $5 credit.

It also looks like today they will start a new giveaway program. For the next 30 days, every person who registers under your referral(don't even have to purchase!) and follows a few steps, will earn you prizes (15 people a Stila lip gloss, 149 iPod nano, 650 iPad).  Here are the details:

1. Go to friendrack.com or "Invite Friends" on nomorerack.com and copy your unique referral link.
2. Email, Post, Twitter, Blog, and even call all your friends and family with your link daily.
3. Ask them to register at nomorerack with their e-mail address, check their inbox to confirm the registration, and "like us" on facebook.
4. Track your friend count at friendrack.com, see how many friends you've racked up and choose your prizes as you rack up your friends!
5. Don't miss a day - Items change regularly but don't worry, we're constantly adding great new products.

Nomorerack has a facebook page.  And they usually give a sneak peak of some of the items for the next day.  Friday's deals look pretty good!  Silver earrings for $3, cute women's top for $7 and men's watches for $8.  And as always, shipping is a flat rate of only $2!

Let us know if you score anything at NMR today!

Free Reusable Bag + 40% off Clothing Clearance at BabiesRUs

Get a FREE reusable Babies R Us shopping tote with coupon. Plus you'll receive an additional 40% off all of the clearance priced clothing and shoes that you can stuff inside of it! I did this offer (twice) last year and got some great deals. I went to my local store tonight and found a few things. Most items were clearance priced around 25% off retail and then the 40% on top of that. This offer is valid until 1/23/11, so the prices might go even lower if you want to try waiting it out. Also, if you earned R rewards coupons from your December spending, you can use these in conjunction with the 40%. Let us know if you score any great deals!

Also, I found reusable RUs Christmas themed totes for 75% off- 38 cents! Will be great for gift bags next year or for delivering Adopt-A-Family donations.

Napkins and T.P and Towels, Oh My!

Paper products often stump me. Just what is a good price? The roll sizes can be tricky to calculate.  But I have found 3 deals this week that are definitely great buys!
First for paper towels and napkins at Marc's.  I always buy my napkins at Marc's. They sell a 250 ct. Mardi Gras package at the everyday low price of $1.79.  This is a great price even without a coupon (Kroger usually sells the same package for around $2.50).  And this week I found a great deal on paper towels too.  They have Bounty Basic towels on sale for $5.49.  I was able to use the $1 Bounty towels MQ from the P&G MIR Booklet.  This brings the total down to $0.56 a roll!

This next deal on TP is a hot one! Kristy shared she got $2.99 Charmin TP at Kroger.  I did too!  The Charmin Basic 16 double roll package is included in the Buy 4 P&G products save $4 promo. Kroger.com has a paperless coupon that you can load on your shopper card for $3.00 off Charmin.  This coupon is working on the Basic as well.  So this definitely meets the "tp equation" for a stock up price.  Here is how to get yours.

Charmin Basic (16 roll, 585 sq. ft.): $6.99
-$1 wyb 4 participating P&G products
-$3 paperless Kroger.com eCpn
Final price= $2.99! (way below the sq ft, for an awesome stock up price!)

Bounty Basic Paper Towels (8 rolls, 305 sq. ft.): $5.49
$1 Bounty 6 ct or larger (P&G MIR Booklet)
Final price= $4.49 or $0.56 a roll!

Mardi Gras Napkins (250 ct.): $1.79

What are your tips on buying paper products?  Stock up prices?  Any recent steals?  Leave us a comment!
