No CVS Ad in Columbus!? Testing "Ad Blackout"

I was really curious why there was no CVS ad in my paper yesterday.  I figured that it just got left out.  But I have now learned that CVS is using Columbus as a pilot city for a "ad blackout" program.  Humm, not good!  I was really hoping to cash in on that Neutrogenia Sunscreen deal.  If you want to find out more about this your self, you can contact customer service at 1-800-746-7287 (or to voice your opinion). I was also told that this is happening in other Ohio markets as well.  Another way to see if this is happening in your area is to go to CVS.com and check your local ad.  I received the screen shot above. :(  It also might not be a bad idea to comment on the CVS facebook page.  Be nice, tell them we love their deals and don't shut us out!

Thanks for the heads up Competitive Grocery Shopping.

I had the same thing happen at Office Max. I read about some great deals on line and and went to my store to pick them up. They said there were in the black out area and the sales did not apply to them. Hopefully CVS will continue for you.

Super frustrating, huh!? I am totally with you on the being sweet, though - I am so thankful for the deals I've gotten at CVS over the years!

After reading all the nasty comments on the Kroger FB page after they quit doubling in TX, I am convinced it is better to "kill them with kindness". ;). Gets your point across better!
